Terms of Service

Last updated 7 September 2026

These terms form the contract between you and [Company legal name], trading as Wellness Retreat, [registered address], company number [number], when you book a retreat with us or use this website. Please read them before you pay a deposit. By paying a deposit you confirm that you have read and accepted them on behalf of everyone in your booking.

1. Making a booking

A booking is a request until we confirm it. Your place is held only once we have received your deposit and sent you a written confirmation by email. That confirmation, together with these terms, is the whole agreement between us. If we cannot accept your booking we will tell you promptly and refund any payment in full.

You must be at least 18 years old to book, and the details you give us, including medical and emergency contact details, must be accurate and kept up to date.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are per person and are shown on the retreat page at the time you book. A non-refundable deposit of €400 secures your place. The balance is due 60 days before the first day of the retreat. If you book within 60 days of the start date, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

If the balance is not paid by the due date we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges below. Prices include accommodation, all scheduled practices, meals as described on the retreat page and airport transfers where stated. They exclude flights, visas, insurance, treatments, alcohol and anything described as optional. Bank charges and currency conversion costs are yours.

3. If you cancel or want to change

Cancellations must be sent to us in writing and take effect on the day we receive them. More than 60 days before the start date, you lose the deposit only. Between 60 and 30 days, 50 per cent of the total price is payable. Within 30 days, or if you do not arrive, the full price is payable.

You may transfer your place to another person, subject to our agreement and any costs the venue charges, up to 30 days before the start date. One date transfer to another retreat in the same season is possible more than 60 days before the start, subject to availability and any difference in price. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation for illness and other reasons, since these charges apply regardless of why you cancel.

4. If we change or cancel

Retreats run with a minimum number of guests. If we cancel a retreat for any reason, you may choose a full refund of everything you have paid us, including the deposit, or a transfer to another date. Our liability in that case is limited to the amount you paid us; we are not responsible for flights, visas, insurance or other arrangements you made yourself, which is why we ask you to insure them.

We may need to substitute the teacher, adjust the schedule, change a room or move an activity for reasons of weather, safety, illness or venue availability. Where a change is minor we will simply tell you. Where it is significant, you may cancel and receive a full refund instead.

5. Insurance, travel and documents

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of joining a retreat. It must cover medical treatment and repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, and your belongings. We may ask for the policy number before arrival.

You are responsible for valid travel documents, visas, vaccinations and for arriving on time. We cannot refund any part of the price if you are refused entry, miss a flight, arrive late or leave early.

6. Health, fitness and your own responsibility

You must tell us before you travel about any injury, illness, pregnancy, allergy, medication, mental health condition or dietary need that could affect your participation or our duty of care. We will treat that information confidentially and use it to adapt what we can, but we may decline or end a booking if we reasonably believe we cannot keep you safe.

We are not a medical provider and nothing we offer is medical treatment, diagnosis or therapy. Yoga, breathwork, cold and thermal water, and the other activities on the schedule carry a risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk, you are responsible for working within your own limits, and you agree to follow the teacher's instructions and to stop if something hurts. If you are unsure whether the retreat suits you, please consult your doctor before booking.

7. Conduct at the retreat

Sixteen people share a small property for a week, so we ask for consideration: respect the quiet hours, the venue, its staff and the local community. Illegal drugs are not permitted. If your behaviour puts others at risk, causes serious offence or damages property, we may end your stay without refund, and you are responsible for any damage you cause.

8. Events outside our control

Neither of us is liable for failing to perform this contract because of an event outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, war or civil unrest, government restrictions, strike action, or the failure of transport or utilities. If such an event prevents a retreat from running we will offer a transfer to a later date or a refund of the sums you have paid us, less any costs we have already paid to third parties on your behalf that we cannot recover.

9. Our liability

We will provide the retreat with reasonable care and skill, and we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of this contract or our negligence. We are not liable for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for business losses, for the acts or omissions of the venue, transport operators, therapists or other independent suppliers, or for personal belongings you leave unattended.

Except in the cases below, our total liability to you is limited to the total price you paid for your retreat. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

10. Photography, website and content

We sometimes photograph the retreat. We will always ask for your written consent before using an image in which you are recognisable, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

All text, photographs, layout and design on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the site, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or to submit false booking information.

11. Complaints, governing law and changes

If something is wrong during the retreat, please tell the teacher or the venue manager straight away so we can try to put it right. Anything unresolved should be sent to us in writing within 28 days of the end of the retreat.

These terms are governed by the law of [governing country], and the courts of [governing country] have jurisdiction over any dispute. We may update these terms from time to time; the version that applies to your booking is the one published when we confirmed it. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
